Samuel Clayton Parsons
Was born on May 4, 1946 in Tampa Florida to his mother, Mildred Louise, and father, Oscar Roscoe Ellerbee. He was the third child of four. His sister, Dorothy, and brothers, Richard and Mark, all stayed in Florida, but Sam set his sights on the west. After living and working across the United States on civil engineering projects like dams and waterways, he finally found his home in Western Colorado and his true passion…antiques. He owned and operated Traders Way, the antique chain just south of Montrose, CO, for over 30 years before retiring and moving to the country outside of Delta, CO. He enjoyed his later years, loved to laugh, and continued to trade antiquities for the remainder of his life. He passed on from this world on March 19, 2023 to join his parents, brothers, and children: Kimberly, Jessica, Michael, and Elliot. He is survived by his son, Sage, his significant other, Deanna, and his granddaughter, Genevieve. He is gone, but not forgotten and lives on through all of the lives he touched. A Memorial Service will be held at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose, CO on March 25th at 3pm.
