Russel G. Tyler Sr.

Russel G. Tyler Sr. was born August 10th 1948 in Delta Colorado; he went to be with the Lord May 18th 2025 at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his Father Raymond Tyler, Mother Ione Tyler, Brother Eddie Tyler and Sister LeeAnn Tyler. He was survived by his wife Mary Tyler, Son and daughter in-law Russ and Christina Tyler, Brother and sister-in law Ray and Sue Tyler, Sister in-law Christine Tyler, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Russ graduated High School from Cortez Colorado and went on to college at Fort Lewis college in Durango, he felt a calling to pursue ministering the word of God so he moved to Waxahachie Texas and attended Southwestern Assembly of God College where he graduated as a minister. In the time spent in Texas is where he met Mary A. Davis, they were married on June 5th 1970. Russ also worked as an electrician and carpenter during these years while ministering. Upon moving back to Delta Colorado Mary and he purchased Delta Floral; in later years he worked for Taylor Funeral home and was a driver for Telluride Express.

Throughout Russ’s life he enjoyed may hobbies: Fishing, camping, hiking, hunting, boating, flying RC airplanes, Golfing, Riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle and Benchrest rifle shooting.
