Rose V Valdez (Herrera)

Rose V. Valdez ascended to heaven on September 4th, 2015. Rose was born to Charlie and Beatrice Herrera on April 15th, 1940. Rose was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She surrounded herself with love.

She worked many jobs over the years but her most important job was caring for her family. Rose was married to Manuel Valdez on June 8th, 1957. They raised 3 children together. Rose enjoyed praising the Lord, singing, crafts, cooking, playing games, and visiting with loved ones. Throughout the years she enjoyed sharing memories with her best friend and love of her life, her husband, Manuel. Heaven has welcomed an angel home.

Rose is survived by her husband Manuel Valdez, children Charlotte (Tom) Parsons, Irene Valdez, and Jim (Tammie) Valdez, grand children Brandi Cisecki (Lynn Loss), Tommy Parsons (Cheryl Anderson), Leonard (Veronica) Martinez, Tanya Martinez, Jimmy (Barbara) Valdez, Jericha (Cody) Cotton, 20 great-grand children, brothers Nick Herrera, David Herrera, Larry Herrera, and sister, Jane Washington. She is proceeded into death by her father and mother, 2 sisters, and 2 brother

A Celebration of Rose’s Life will be held on September 10th, 2015, at 1:00 pm, at the Waves of Mercy Church, on Colorado Ave, in Montrose.  Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Colorado is assisting the family.
