Orlando Lawrence Bercillio passed away September 15, 2025, at Montrose Memorial Hospital. He was born November 26, 1988, where his mother Charlene Bercillio started her devoted journey of being his “mama bear” as he chose that name for her early on in his life. He graduated from Montrose HS in 2007. He then moved to Denver, Co where he lived the next 10 years pursuing a degree in criminal justice. He attended ITT Tech and University of Denver. He earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and an associate's degree in science. His mom made countless trips to visit him, and his Tia Nicole spent time on the phone with him as he was adjusting to moving away from his home. He attended church in Aurora Co. at New Testament Christian Church under the direction of Pastor Perez. He enjoyed many different things such as playing guitar, books, computers, art, and fishing. One of his treasured memories was his trip traveling to Hollywood.

He leaves behind his mother Charlene Bercillio, his son Thomas, his brother Donovan Nixon (Tasha) Adrian, Levi, Uncle Steve (Tia Nicole) Dawson, Cousin Bobby, Bailey, Kaiden Dawson, and his Grandma Charlotte Aragon. There are many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends that will honor his legacy for years to come.

He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Fermin Bercillio and his Uncle Benny Bercillio.

A memorial service honoring Orlando’s life will be held at 10:00 am on September 27, 2025, at Waves of Mercy Church in Montrose officiated by Pastor Daniel Rubalcaba. A short graveside service will follow at Grand View Cemetery where he will be laid beside his Grandpa Fermin. A funeral reception will follow the burial service at Waves of Mercy Church where family and friends will share memories, food, laughter, and tears. John 11:25-26 Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies: and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.”
