Michelle Lynn Bates

Michelle Lynn Bates, 21, of Norwood, CO passed away on August 16th from injuries sustained in a car accident. Michelle was born on July 12, 1996 in Sidney, NY. The daughter of Chris Bates of Fredericksburg, VA and Tricia Bates of Norwich, NY. She is also survived by her sister Gabrielle Bates and brother Justin Bates both of Norwich, NY, and her grandmother Carol Wilt of CO and grandmother Ellen Morrison of NC. A 2015 graduate of Norwood High School, she attended CMU in Grand Junction, CO where she was accepted into the social work program. She was a part of young life and was learning to play guitar. Michelle never met a person she didn’t call a friend. Her contagious laughter will be missed by everyone. Services were held at Trailhead Church in Norwood, Colorado on Saturday August 26th, 2017 at 1 pm.
