Marilyn Lee (Anderson) Osborne

Marilyn Lee (Anderson) Osborne passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at the age of 86, after courageously facing Alzheimer’s and a series of strokes. Up until the end, she kept her beautiful smile.

Marilyn’s life can be summed up in six words: Faith, Family, Friends, Flowers, Food, and Fun — and always Balloons.

She was born in Denver on March 29, 1939, to Vernon and Lila Anderson, and spent most of her early life there alongside her brothers, Ken and Keith Anderson. She graduated from South High School in Denver.

In March of 1979, Marilyn married the love of her life, Bob Osborne. Together they built a blended family of six children, twelve grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren. They lived primarily in Denver and Arvada, with a few memorable years in Arizona. After Bob’s passing in 2020, Marilyn moved to Montrose, where she first enjoyed independent living and later a nursing home, until she went home to be with the Lord.

Marilyn loved dogs, and she and Bob always had at least one. Her most recent companion was Tank, a little Yorkie who was never far from her side and shared countless walks with her.

She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for gatherings, and her ability to bring joy to every room she entered. Her faith guided her, her family grounded her, and her friendships enriched her life.

Marilyn is survived by all six children, Stan Osborne, Richard Osborne, Sandy Andrews, Patty Rowley, Don Coffey and Diane Farley and all their families, as well as many extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Arvada Covenant Church, 5555 Ward Road, Arvada, Colorado, where Marilyn and Bob were longtime members. Guests are encouraged to wear colorful clothing in Marilyn’s honor, she loved a party, and this will be a celebration worthy of her.
