Louis Marvin Kibel, passed away April 27, 2019 age 88 at Palisade Senior Living with his family by his side. Louis was born February 13, 1931 in Kirk, Colorado to Charles Andrew and Daisy Dora (King) Kibel.

Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army, as a Motor Pool Mechanic and Driver, receiving the National Defense Service Medal. He spent much of his working career, as a Rancher, Farmer, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Mechanic, as well as a husband and father.

Louis married Amelia Lou (Cook) Kibel in Goodland, KS on January 18, 1952, they spent 45 wonderful years together, before her passing. Louis later married Sandra Sharp, then Joncie (Sue) Kibel in Canon City, Colorado, Sue and Louis, enjoyed 11 years of marriage.

Louis enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing ups cars, playing guitar and singing with his family members. Surviving family members are his wife Jonce (Sue) Kibel; his 4 children Carolyn (Elmer) Burbridge of Nucla, Colorado; Janet (Howdy) Howdeshell of Ladonia, Missouri, Tim Kibel of Cedar Park, Texas, Teddy (Michelle) Kibel. As well as 2 step children Linda Kennerly and Gary Mahathey. Louis is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, his sister Clara Flowers, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife Amelia (Cook) Kibel; a son Danny Kibel, his daughter in law Laurie (Tim) Kibel. As well as his parents, and 5 sisters, and 6 brothers.

A Memorial Service in loving memory of Louis will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Park, 922 N Orchard, Canon City, Colorado, with Kim Nosel officiating. Interment will be at Lake Side Cemetery, 1008 Elm Ave., Canon City, Colorado. Family request that any flower arrangements be sent to the Memorial Service at The Mountain View Park, and sympathy cards may be sent to the family at Box 463, Nucla, Colorado 81424. The family wishes to thank Palisade Senior Living for the Care of their wonderful care of their husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather.
