Lillie F. Moore

Lillie F Moore passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on May 5, 2026 in Montrose, Colorado. She was 77 years old.

Lillie Florence Priddy “ Dinkey Moore” was born August 27, 1948 to Homer William Priddy and Lillie Mae (Bailey) Priddy in Flagstaff, Arizona. Lillie was welcomed into the family by her sisters Margaret and Judy. Her sisters gave Lillie the name “Dinkey” because she was so small and it stayed with her for her whole life.

Dinkey spent much of her childhood traveling between Arkansas and “Johnson Park” Colorado while her dad and brother-in-law, Ray Morgan, sawmilled. Dinkey’s favorite playmate was her nephew, Jimmy Morgan, who was 5 years younger.

The family permanently moved to Montrose, Colorado in 1958 where she spent the remainder of her life.

Dinkey went to school and was in the first class of students to attend Columbine Middle School. She then attended Montrose High School where she met James “Jim” Moore. They became high school sweethearts and later married on January 29, 1965. Jim and Dinkey had three children: Jody, Tiffany, and Christy. Dinkey was a home maker while she raised her children. As her children got older, she worked at Russell Stovers and later became a Hallmark card merchandiser “The Card Lady” for both local City Markets and Gibsons.

Dinkey was raised knowing Jesus but fully dedicated her life to him and was baptized in 1975 by Reverend Lloyd McMillian at Montrose Christian Church. Church was a big part of her life and she attended the Assembly of God Church, Abundant Life Church and most recently, Grace Community Church. She taught her family to love Jesus and followed him always.

Dinkey loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed doing things outside which included Arrowhead hunting, picnicking, going to the lake, planting flowers and exploring the mountains. Dinkey took painting classes with her sisters and her niece, Lisa Coram, and found she had quite a talent for it.

Dinkey loved to travel with her family. She would take her mother back to Arkansas every summer to see family but her favorite travel destination was Walt Disney World. She vacationed to Walt Disney World every other year for the last 30 years.

Dinkey had an open door policy and an open heart to everyone she met. She was a fantastic cook and loved to feed everyone. One thing Dinkey was known to say to her children and grand children was “Don’t pray for patience, pray for wisdom. If you pray for patience, God will give you things to make you patient. If you pray for wisdom, God will give you things to help you make it through.”

She was preceded in death by her parents Homer William Priddy; Lillie Mae “Bailey” Priddy; sisters and brother-in-laws, Ray and Margaret Morgan; John and Judy Deltondo. Her husband James Moore and nephew Bobby Morgan.

She is survived by her children, Jody and Stephanie Moore; Tiffany English; Christy and Rusty Van-Allen, her grand children; Ashley and Jacob Cramer; Daemin, Cade, and Miciah English; Madicyn and Dillon Fisher; Karyk Stiles, Jayde Stiles; her great grand children; Nyobie, Myrsay, Cashius, Fynnlen, Ireland, Rue, Baskal Jack Cramer; Emmery Fisher and many nieces and nephews.

Although Dinkey left this world quickly, her legacy lives on through a family who dearly loves her. She would also want everyone to remember that this phase of life is just a fleeting moment before our eternity starts with Jesus.
