In Loving Memory:
Lance Deforest Vincent was welcomed into the world on April 18 2002 in Montrose, CO to the loving parents of Michelle and Steven Vincent. He was called home to our father in heaven on January 23, 2026 in Grand Junction, CO. He was their first born out of four children. He was a proud big brother to his one sister Kaitlyn and his two brothers, Craig and Alexander.
Lance was known to many as the gentle giant, carrying both strength and kindness, he had a heart that matched his size. He loved video games especially Dungeons and Dragons and pulling practical jokes on his siblings, always teasing them whenever he could. He enjoyed shooting guns whether they were real or Nerf, and having an imagination so vivid, he could write an entire story and paint the picture perfectly. His creativity went further beyond storytelling- he had a poem published outside the Botanical Gardens in Grand Junction, CO where his words could continue to live among nature. During his youth, he had accomplishments that made him a one of a kind. He won an ice cream eating contest at the age of 9 and succeeded in wrestling. He also took a liking for playing the trumpet.
At the age of 3, Lance had aspired to be in the marines. Always fascinated by their bravery and strength. Over time he looked at what life could hold for him and unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, he decided to pursue a new path in video game development. He went by the name “Rapidfawn” online and would occasionally post videos to youtube and other forms of social media, encouraging his family to do outros with him until they were bright red in the face.
In his last year with us, Lance got to meet his firstborn nephew. Although he was very large compared to the tiny baby, he was always gentle and cared deeply for him. He treasured every moment with his nephew, always taking every chance, he got to hold him or spend time with him.
When he left this world, he was surrounded by his loved ones, family, and friends. His life was an irreplaceable presence, and his spirit will continue to live within his family, friends, and anyone who walked in his path.
Lance, you will never be forgotten, and we will continue to talk about you throughout the rest of our lives and we will always remember you for all the wonderful and dorky times you gave us all.
We love you Lance,
Always and Forever
Lances Service will be held on Thursday March 12, 2026, at Crippin Funeral home in Montrose, CO from 4-6 PM.
