Julia Maria Angeles, 91, of Montrose, Colorado, passed away on May 2, 2024, due to complications from pneumonia.
 Julia was born on March 11, 1933, to Thomas Miskell and Katie Miskell, née Quinn, in North Elmsall, Yorkshire, England. A former beauty queen, Julia would go on to pursue a career as a State Registered Nurse and State Certified Midwife, before emigrating to the United States.
 On November 18, 1961, Julia married Dr. Jaime Salen Angeles at St. John’s Cathedral in Cleveland, Ohio. Julia and Jaime went on to have four children: James Patrick (1962), Thomas Joseph (1966), Kevin Michael (1968), and Catherine Constancia (1971). After retiring in 1994, Jaime and Julia moved west, eventually settling in the Rocky Mountains.
 Julia was predeceased by her husband Jaime (2018), daughter Catherine (2019), and son James (2020). She is survived by her son Thomas [Riani] and granddaughter Siobhán, and son Kevin [Ellen] and grandson Noah. She will be fondly remembered by her namesake niece Julia Chrishop and nephew Thomas Walsh.

 A viewing and vigil will be held at Crippin Funeral Home in Montrose on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 6:00 PM. Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Montrose on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by burial.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Montrose Botanical Gardens, or Hopewest Hospice.

 The care she received from so many caregivers was greatly appreciated, particularly from The Center at Foresight and Elk Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Julia and the Angeles family.
