John Charles Eskew

John Charles Eskew, most recently of Montrose, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Sunday, August 10, 2025. He was 52.

John was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on May 5, 1973, to Cathie and Charles “Joe” Eskew. Having spent most of his life on the western slope in Colorado, nothing was more precious to John than his children. John is the father of four: the late Tyler John, who passed in infancy; Benjamin Logsdon of Castle Rock, Colorado; and Sophia and Greyson Eskew. John is also survived by one grandson, Luka Logsdon, whom he adored.

Others who survive John are his loving father, Charles; and John’s siblings, Lane Eskew and Elizabeth Wisdom Rogers. John’s mother, Cathie, preceded him in death by 17 days.

A life-long fisherman, foodie and music lover, John’s final years were marked by a brave, multi-year struggle with Multiple Systems Atrophy—a rare, progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects the brain and nervous system. In these last years, among John’s proudest accomplishments, he achieved sobriety and found comfort in his relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

A celebration of life service for John will be held at Grace Community Church on Saturday, September 27, at 10 a.m., in conjunction with his mother’s (Cathie Eskew) celebration of life. Donations in John’s name can be made to HopeWest (HopeWestCO.org).
