Janice Fay Rottinghaus of Olathe, CO, age 63, passed away on July 26, 2026.

Janice was born in Montrose, CO on February 23, 1963 to Katherine and Jesse Linsacum. She grew up in Montrose and graduated from Montrose High School in 1981. After graduating, she worked as a pharmacy technician.

Janice enjoyed counted cross stitching, gardening, cooking and crafts. She liked to travel, including trips to Rocky Mountain National Park and scenic drives in the mountains.

Janice married Robert Rottinghaus in September, 1986. They made their home on a family farm near Olathe, CO where Janice grew to love the farm life. She especially enjoyed processing and canning produce from their garden.

In 1999, Janice’s life was miraculously changed when she became the recipient of a kidney/pancreas transplant.

Janice is survived by Rob, her husband of nearly forty years. She is also survived by her Mother, Katherine Linsacum and brothers Steve (Ilene), Gary (Shawn), and Ron (Jnl) Linsacum. She was preceded in death by her Father, Jesse Linsacum, her sister, Linda Fluke and nephew, Timothy Linsacum.

A celebration of Janice’s life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Juvenile Diabetes or Hope West Hospice.
