Harvey Howard Olson, age 80, passed away on July 23, 2016 at his home in Montrose, Colorado with his loving wife at his side, after three long years battling cancer. Harvey was born November 27, 1935 in White City, Kansas to Howard and Minnie (Wafler) Olson.  When Harvey was a kid he moved to Junction City, Kansas and graduated from Junction City High School. Shortly after he enlisted in the United States Air Force and worked as a radio operator on Bikini Island. Harvey retired in October of 1994 and moved to Weslaco, Texas. After his retirement he and his wife Barb would travel in the R.V. to cooler areas such as Montrose and even Canada.  Harvey enjoyed hunting pheasant and quail in the Creston area, camping in southern Iowa, playing bridge and poker, gardening, woodworking, camping/R.V.ing, and loved his Alma Mater Kansas State Wild Cats; but above all he loved his family.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barb Olson of Montrose, CO; his sons Brian Olson of Austin, TX and Bradley (Cindy) Olson of Wake Forest, NC; and many nieces and nephews. Harvey is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Minnie Olson, and his brother Alfred Olson.
