Glenn Fredrick Caddy, age 97, passed away on January 3, 2026. He was born on May 4, 1928. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Stanley Caddy and Jessie Ellen Smith, his brother William Caddy, and his daughter Gilberdean. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 76 years, Geraldine Miller Linscott, as well as his children: Glenna Vigil, Keith Caddy, and Keith’s wife Tawna. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Christine Vigil, Danielle Wyatt and her husband Kiel, James Caddy and partner Kristopher Trabue, Keith Caddy Jr. and his wife Faith, their sons Jack and Tobias, Ben Caddy and his wife Lily, and David Caddy.
Glenn was born near Colona at Billy Creek (Eldridge Switch), Colorado, and attended schools in Colona, Mayfield in Ridgway, Oak Grove in Montrose, and Montrose High School.
He began ranch work in Colorado and Utah at age 12, renting his first ranch from his uncle at 16. Glenn met Geraldine while working on her family ranch near Uncompahgre. After marrying, he worked at the Idarado Mine on Red Mountain. Because he really enjoyed working with horses and cattle, he returned to ranching in the Uncompahgre Valley—a life he cherished. Eventually Glenn and Geradine acquired a ranch of their own and established a lucrative backhoe business. Glenn was a respected man who will be missed by all who knew him.
