Earlene A. Bird

Earlene A. Bird was born in Red Cloud, Nebraska on May 23,1931 to Albert and Eula Willard McKinney. She passed away on March 10, 2024, at her place of residence in Canyon City, Colorado.

Earlene married James A. Bird on June 16, 1947, and made their home together in Akron Colorado where their son Ralph A. Bird was born and raised. Earlene and James were blessed with their two granddaughters Melissa and Renee Bird. Melissa and husband had two boys. Earlene was proud of her granddaughter and loved being a great grandmother. She also enjoyed her phone calls from Renee and Melissa.

Jim and Joe Bott, nephews of James and Earlene spent quality time with the family and enjoyed spending time on the farm playing with Ralph, their cousin and helping with chores as needed. Earlene spent her days enjoying visits from Jim and Joe before his passing.

Earlene is preceded in death by her parents, One brother and two sisters. Husband James Bird and Son Ralph Bird.

Earlene enjoyed family get-togethers and spending time with friends. She loved to crochet and embroidery. Her church family was very special to her as well.

She spoke fondly of her volunteer work at Montrose Memorial Hospital and always loved Going to work.
