Derrik "DC" Charles Romero-Evans

Derrik Charles "DC" Romero-Evans, 23, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Born on June 25, 2002, in Grand Junction Colorado, Derrik brought light and laughter into the lives of those around him from an early age.

A proud graduate of Central High School in Grand Junction, Colorado, Derrik was known for his sharp wit and infectious smile. His sense of humor was a constant source of joy to his family and friends, often turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. Whether he was cracking jokes or offering a helping hand, Derrik had a way of making people feel seen and appreciated.

Derrik had a deep love for online gaming—a passion that connected him with friends near and far. He was also an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, never missing a chance to cheer on his favorite team. But perhaps nothing brought him more comfort than enjoying his mom’s cooking, which he always looked forward to with enthusiasm.

He was a beloved son to Stephanie Wilken and Charles Evans Jr., and a devoted brother to Daniel Romero, and beloved grandson, cousin, and nephew of the family. His presence in their lives was a gift—one filled with laughter, kindness, and unwavering love.

Derrik's giving spirit and willingness to help others left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
