David Lee Snow

David Lee Snow, 73, left this earth to join his heavenly Father in paradise on March 12, 2024. He was born on November 21, 1950, to Shirley (Javernick) and George Snow in Canon City, CO. After high-school, David went into the United States Air Force for a time. After receiving an honorable discharge, he married Collette and had two children, Stephanie Marie and David Wayne.

David always had a creative flare, excelling in any artistic endeavor he chose. From painting to woodworking, and everything in between, David created beauty throughout his life. He worked as a hairstylist and a carpenter and enjoyed the creative process involved in each.

David married the love of his life Sandy Eastwood on August 10, 1984. They lived in Montrose for many years before moving to Ridgway where David used his carpentry skills to built their home from the ground up. They later moved to Thermopolis, WY where they lived and worked for 22 years before returning to Montrose in 2022. David enjoyed visiting with people and learning their stories, tinkering around his shop and attending River of Life Fellowship in Thermopolis. The only thing David loved more than Sandy and his family was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 

David is survived by is loving wife, Sandy; his children David (Leanette) Snow of Albuquerque, NM, Stephanie Kelly (Terry Ross Sr.) of Panhandle, TX, Gwendy Frary of Lakewood, CO, and Britta (Tom) Johnson of Montrose, CO; Brother Chuck (Pam) Snow of Pueblo, CO; Sister Angie (Vern) Clawson of Canon City, CO; Grandchildren: Skye (Javan) Mirabel, Lakota Wilson, Bylli Kelly Chelsey (Carly) Johnson, Lily (Brandon) Content, Brent Frary, Ethan Snow, and Collette Snow, Katie (Cameron) Rosenblum;  Great-grandchildren: Everest, Keiri, Jude, Kimber, Ronin, Odin, Brayden, Matthew R., Tatum, Ricky, Matthew S., Jadyn, Arya, Hayley, Oliver, and one expected later this year; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Everyone will miss his big smile, big dreams, and kind soul. Greeting him in Heaven are his parents Shirley and George, step-father Edward Javernick, sister Sharon Pennington, daughter Shawna Still, and great-granddaughter Alyna Moore. 

Private celebration of life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choosing to continue David’s legacy of giving. Crippin Funeral Home is assisting Mr. Snow’s family. 970-249-2121.
