Christina
Bass
d. Aug 8, 2026
Montrose
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christina Bass, 52, on August 8, 2026, after a long journey with multiple health battles.
Christina was born in Orange County, California, and grew up along the coast, graduating from Tustin High School in 1992. She loved the warm California weather, the beach, and the carefree feeling of growing up near the ocean. Those early years shaped her love for the outdoors and her adventurous spirit. After moving to Montrose, she continued to enjoy getting outside, exploring, trying new hobbies, and making memories with the people she loved.
Christina was one of the strongest and most resilient women you could ever know. She faced more challenges than most, yet no matter what life put in front of her, she met each one with courage and strength. She always found a way to smile, laugh, and keep going. Christina had a beautiful ability to find joy in the simplest things in life and to make the most of every moment.
One of Christina’s greatest joys in recent years was becoming a grandma. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and they adored their grandma just as much. She loved watching them grow and spending time with them, and the bond they shared was truly special.
Christina will be deeply missed by the family she loved so dearly, including her daughter, Hannah Kaylor (Bass), and her husband, Benjamin Kaylor; her grandchildren, Liam and Natalie Kaylor; her mother, Diane Bass; and her brother, Cliff Bass.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Bass.
Christina will be remembered for her strength, her spirited personality, her sense of adventure, and the way she could bring laughter and life into the moments she shared with others. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that her family will hold close.
No formal services are scheduled at this time. The family is incredibly grateful for the love, kindness, and support shown to them during this difficult time.
