In Loving Memory of Charlie Gerald Walton
Charlie Gerald Walton, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on December 8, 1935, he leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and spirituality that will be cherished by all who knew him.
With an entrepreneurial mindset Charlie was always thinking of something new to invent and encouraged others to do the same. When he started his carpet cleaning business, he created a carpet cleaning solution that worked wonders, and many will never forget the Tortilla clocks made of real tortillas! Furthermore, Charlie was a handyman by trade, known for his ability to take on pretty much any job. He approached every task with a sense of pride and meticulous attention to detail, earning the respect of those who sought his expertise. His hands were not only adept at fixing things but were also open to helping and caring for those around him.
Charlie's spiritual journey was a cornerstone of his life, so much that he was inspired to write his own book, Non-Fiction, which was later privately published, sold online and handed out to others personally by him.  His faith was a source of solace and inspiration, shaping the way he approached challenges and celebrated joys. He was a beacon of light to those who shared in his beliefs, fostering a sense of community and understanding.
Charlie is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Rita Karen Walton, and their eldest son, Charlie Thomas Walton, both of whom preceded him in death. Together, they built a foundation of love and family that will endure through the generations.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Sherri Walton, and his sons Jim, Ron, and Bruce Walton. Charlie's presence will be deeply missed by his 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry on his values and cherish the memories of a man who was not only their patriarch but also a friend and mentor.
Charlie Gerald Walton's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his warmth, generosity, and unwavering love. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before him, and may his spirit continue to inspire and guide those he left behind. As Charlie quotes in his book, “merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.”
