Casey Allen Cripe passed away on November 16, 2025, in Telluride, CO, at the age of 36. Born on May 14th, 1989, in El Dorado AR, Casey was a member of the El Dorado High School Marching Band, enjoyed competing in science fair projects, winning awards, playing the piano, and winning Pokémon trophies. He was a proud graduate of his high school Class of 2007. After following an interest in the Marine Corps, Casey earned an associate’s degree in nursing from South Arkansas Community College, then easily completed his LPN licensing requirements. Casey moved to CO in 2016, settling in Telluride in 2018. Early on, Casey developed a love for skiing--became quite an expert at it. Casey's many outdoor adventures included long-range hiking, swimming, and paddle boarding. He loved going to festivals and summer concerts. He shared many pictures with family and friends of his pursuits. Casey was loyal, kind, friendly, and he had a great work ethic. Casey's memory will be carried forward by his mother, Martha A. Hoggard Cripe, father, Stanley E. Cripe, brother Chris Howe, brother Lance Howe, aunt Theresa Cripe, aunt Tina Skinner, cousin Jinjer Hoggard Pastor, cousin Jennifer Hoggard Salwei, cousin Candice Cripe, nephew Zak Howe, and countless, treasured friends. Casey was preceded in death by grandfather Jabe E. Hoggard, grandfather Charlie Cripe Sr., grandmother Robbye N. Hoggard, grandmother Roszella Slaughter, uncle Jay E. Hoggard, uncle Charlie Cripe Jr., uncle Kenneth Cripe, uncle Blaine Cripe, aunt Peggy Hoggard, and favorite dog Little Dog. A memorial was held in Telluride, CO the week of November 24th and his love, memory, and spirit will be shared at the Telluride Ski Area's Enchanted Forest, Grouse Glade, and Milk Run, as well as Ajax Peak.
