Bruce was born to Martha and Fredric Kerr, on October 4th 1941 in Titusville Pennsylvania. He was the second youngest of 5 siblings. He passed away on August 12th in Montrose, Colorado. Bruce lived 84 years, and is survived by his wife Lynda, Sons Duane (wife Teresa and grandson Calvin) and C. Paul (wife Ruthanne).

During his adolescent years he spent time in Hershey’s School for Boys in Hersey, Pennsylvania. He moved to Craig, Colorado to live with his oldest sister Isabel and Paul Dillion for his teenage years. He graduated from Moffat County High School in Craig, Colorado in 1961. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1964. After leaving the Air Force he received his Journeyman's Electrician Certificate and worked at Union Carbide in Uravan, Colorado. He spent most of his working years as a Maintenance Electrician at power houses in Utah, Wyoming and other western states.

Jeff Dillon asked Bruce to chaperone a school dance. While at the dance no one was dancing. So Bruce asked Jeff who was his teacher was. Bruce then asked Lynda to dance to get the kids on the floor. Bruce and Lynda were married March 29, 1970.

Bruce and his family lived in Colorado, Wyoming, Alaska and Utah before settling in Redvale Colorado in 1997. Both Bruce and his wife have traveled to all states including Alaska and Hawaii. They have also traveled to most of the Canadian providences.

In 1986 he completed his dream of getting his Pilot license. Bruce then flew family and friends around the western states. He also made many cross country flights with other pilots. One of his longest was with some friends when they moved a plane from Alaska to Texas.

Funeral services will be a graveside service at the Coventry Cemetery in Redvale, on September 5th 11am with a luncheon after at the Redvale Community Center. In leu of flowers please send donations to Redvale Community Center.
