It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bradley Wade Furness, who departed this world on January 6th, 2026 in Montrose Colorado at Valley Manor care center after a long battle with adult-onset Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Brad was born on October 13th 1964 in Watertown South Dakota. He was a cherished member of the community, known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his friends and family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Brad enjoyed the tranquility of nature and often hiked or drove in the mountains near Montrose Colorado. He graduated from Washington High School in 1983, received an Associate of Arts degree from Kilian Community College in 1996, and received an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Turf Management Technology in 1999. Brad was a US Army veteran and served in Desert Storm on the front lines as a combat engineer. He served from 1988 – 1992. Brad worked as a golf course superintendent in Beaver Creek Minnesota, and Huron South Dakota.

Brad is survived by Dan Furness (son), Mathew Furness (son), Sharon Struck (sister), Doug Furness (Brother), Renae Bartosiewicz (sister) and 9 nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by Palmer Furness (father), Marion Furness (mother), Michael Furness (brother), Kimberly Furness (sister), A celebration of life will be held on a date to be announced in Montrose Colorado where loved ones will gather to pay tribute and share cherished memories. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
