Our greatest joy as parents is watching our children grow. Our greatest sorrow is losing them too soon.

On September 3, 2026, our son, Blake Klobuchar, was tragically taken from us in a plane crash while working near Telluride, Colorado.

Blake was an amazing young man who was never afraid to try something new. He didn’t like to waste time doing things he didn’t find interesting or challenging. From early on, it was obvious that Blake had a special curiosity about life and a unique ability to connect with people of any age through thoughtful conversation.

Brave, loyal, authentic, knowledgeable, and exceptional are just a few of the words that describe Blake. These qualities were woven into who he was and the way he lived his life.

We believe Blake was called upon for a higher purpose, and his spirit will always be present in our hearts. Though our lives will never be the same without him, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to have with him.

Blake is survived by his parents, Ross and Brandy Klobuchar; his sister, Marlea Klobuchar; his grandparents, Randy and Kay Schreiber and Marlys Klobuchar; and many family members and friends who loved him dearly.

An informal celebration of Blake’s life will be held on October 25 from 3–6 p.m. in Bosque Farms, NM. It will be a time to share fun stories, remember the adventures and moments that made Blake unique, laugh, cry, and enjoy tacos—his favorite food.
