Beulah May Frigetto

Beulah May Frigetto, 92, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 7, 2026, surrounded by her family. Beulah was born on September 1, 1933, in Montrose, Colorado, to Rollins Don Carlos Shepherd and Hattie May Kinnamon. She met the love of her life, Gedo Frigetto and they were married on July 9, 1955. Together, they shared 68 years of marriage and raised two children, Kathy and Gary, on the family farm.

Beulah embraced her life as a farm wife and mother. She was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and home. She was an exceptionally talented seamstress and lovingly made clothes for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to cook and was always ready to feed anyone who happened to stop by. No matter what time of day you visited, you could count on finding chocolate chip cookies in her cookie drawer.

Beulah carried on cherished family traditions, including making homemade ravioli every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. These traditions, along with the many meals, recipes, and memories she created, will continue to be treasured by her family for generations to come.

While raising her children, Beulah also worked in banking for many years. She was a woman of many talents who worked hard and found great joy in her family.

One of Beulah's greatest joys in her later years was her eight great-grandchildren. They brought a smile to her face each day, and she loved each one dearly.

Beulah was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gedo Frigetto; her sisters Audrey, Martha, Ruth, Elma, Wilma, and Alice; her brothers Floyd, Alvin, Warren, and Merrell; and her grandson, Travis Cooper.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Gary) Cooper; her son, Gary (Joni) Frigetto; grandchildren Gina Cooper, Cole (Nicole) Cooper, Justin (Kareen) Frigetto, and Jordan Frigetto; and great-grandchildren Haylee and Raylee Ramsey, Tinley and Remi Cooper, Kayren and Cade Frigetto, and Hayden and Allie Frigetto. She is also survived by her brothers Kenneth Shepherd and Norman (Carol) Shepherd, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Beulah will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Beulah's life will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Montrose, Colorado. A viewing will be held at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Immediately following the service, Beulah will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Montrose Elks.
