Beckie Ann Mason, 68, of Ouray, Colorado, passed away on December 26, 2025, leaving a profound sense of loss in the hearts of all who knew her, but a legacy of strength that will never be forgotten.

Born on February 21, 1957, Beckie was a woman who understood the value of hard work, often described as making those around her appear as if they were moving in slow motion. She was the foundation of her family, recognized for her warmth, her unwavering devotion to her three children, and for being the most wonderful sister and friend anyone could wish for. To know Beckie was to know a woman of resilience who always had a fresh pot of coffee brewing, a cherished puppy by her side, and a secret stash of chocolate-covered cherries nearby.

While her children were her pride, her grandchildren were her greatest joy. Beckie made "spoiling grandkids" an art form, ensuring that every moment spent with them was filled with extra treats, toys, and boundless affection.

Beckie’s strength, her selflessness, and her never-ending sacrifice for her children was revered. She was a proud single mother, a provider, and protector who led her life with love and grace.

Family and Survivors

Beckie is survived by her children: Melanie Avila, John Avila, and Justin Avila; her beloved grandchildren: Johnathan Sierra, Samantha Sierra, and Alexander Avila; and her cherished siblings: Edward Mason, Jack Mason, Bill Mason, Robert Mason, and John Korsage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Mason and Wanda Mason, and her siblings, Vickie Bilden and Tammy Mason.

Services will be held at Crippin Funeral Home in Montrose, CO, on January 3rd, 2026. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Ouray Cemetery.
