Eloise J. Venezio

Eloise Venezio, age 70, of Montrose, Colo., passed away Monday evening, Oct. 17, 2011 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colo. Eloise was born Oct. 7, 1941 to James W. and Alma Jean (Martin) Richards in Telluride, Colo. She spent her childhood and graduated from high school in Montrose. Eloise married Russell Venezio Jr., on July 26, 1958 in Raton, N.M. She was raised Baptist and attended the First Baptist Church in Montrose. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her grandchildren were precious and she always made special time for them. She enjoyed cooking and movies were always a way to enjoy and be around family and friends.
Surviving family members include her husband, Russell, of the family home, in Montrose; son, Tony (Pamela) Venezio of Phoenix, Ariz; daughters, Susan (Rick) Barela of Olathe, Colo., Devra (Jeff) Kinnett of Delta, Colo; a brother, James (Pam) Richards of Denver, Colo; nine Grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Crippin Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Grand View Cemetery, west of Montrose. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, in memory of Eloise Venezio, P.O. Box 1804, Montrose, Co. 81402.
