Evelyn Quint

Evelyn Quint, age 95, of Montrose, Took the Lord’s hand when he called on Thursday, Apr. 5, 2012 at San Juan Living Center in Montrose. Evelyn was born Jan. 28, 1917 to Robert and Katie (Entz) Williams in Garden City, Kansas. She was one of eleven children. Evelyn spent her childhood in Garden City, and as a young girl, the family moved to Delta, Co., where she graduated from high school. Evelyn married Clarence Quint on Apr. 21, 1934 in Montrose, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1997 in Montrose. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Montrose. Evelyn enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a gently, loving person, and always willing to help others out. Her family enjoyed many great meals and talks at her home.
Surviving family members include her daughter, Sharlene Milner of Montrose, one sister, Virginia Gray of Artesia, Calif; four grandchildren Darcy Garrison, Spencer Milner, Donald Quint and Kelly Quint; seven great-grandchildren Halli Smith, Nevada Casias, Cutter Garrison, Cade Garrison, Tana Milner, Max Milner and Jessalyn Quint, and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Katie Williams, husband Clarence Quint, nine siblings, son Don Quint, two grandsons Kelly Quint and Spencer Milner and son-in-law, Jerry Milner
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, Apr. 9, 2012 from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside Service is scheduled to follow the visitation at 2:00 pm at Cedar Cemetery, east of Montrose. Memorial contributions may be made to Alpine Hospice, in memory of Evelyn Quint, 2764 Compass Dr., Grand Junction, Co., 81506, or Alzheimer’s Association of Denver Chapter, in Memory of Evelyn Quint, 455 Sherman St., Suite 500, Denver, Co 80203. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
