Billie Plush

Montrose - Billie Plush, age 84, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 6, 2011 at San Juan Living Center in Montrose Colorado.

  Billie Jean Plush was born in Turin Kansas to parents William and Eva Leabo and spent her childhood on the family farm in Turin  Kansas and later attended high school in Hutchinson Kansas. Billie married her childhood sweetheart Paul Plush in 1946 after he returned home from Europe at the end of World War II. They were married and lived in Hutchinson Kansas for a few years. While visiting friends and family in Colorado they fell in love with the mountains of Colorado and moved to the Denver area where they raised their family. While there Billie was employed by Western Bell Telephone for more than 20 years. They then relocated to Olathe Colorado where they owned and operated a family business for 16 years. Billie and Paul then retired and spent their remaining years fishing, hunting, horseback riding and thoroughly enjoying all that western Colorado has to offer. Billie and Paul had shared 61 years of marriage at the time of Paul’s death. Billie was a devoted and loving wife: loving mother to her children and caring grandparent to many grand and great grandchildren She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

  Billie is survived by her children, Pam Raish and husband Tom of Olathe Colorado; Paula Abbott and husband Alan of Montrose Colorado; Johnnie Plush and wife Terrie of Racine Wisconsin; grandchildren Ronnie, Bill, David, Bethany, Sarah, Mike and  John ; 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.. Billie was proceeded in death by husband Paul Plush and grandson Duane Plush.

  A visitation  for family and friends will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday May 10, 2011 at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Wednesday May 11, 2011 at Victory Baptist Church in Montrose with pastor Jim Welch officiating. Inurnment will be at the Laredo Cemetery in Kansas at a later date . Condolences may also be sent to the family at www.crippinfuneralhome.com.
