Bob McClanahan
March 5, 1958 - December 1, 2010
Bob McClanahan, age 52, of Olathe passed away on Dec 1,2010, he’d lost his year long battle with brain cancer.
Bob was born to Art and Marilyn McClanahan of Kendallville, In on March 5, 1958. Bob spent his childhood in Albion, In and attended high school at Central Noble High School. Because of his love for Colorado, Bob enlisted in the Uinted States Army and was stationed at Fort Carson. After leaving the Army, he made his permanent residence in Colorado. Bob married Lisa Linn of Ligonier, in 1984. Bob and Lisa just celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on Nov 24, 2010.
Bob had a variety of skills, he was a hunting guide, carpenter, and a surveyor of mining claims. Bob’s favorite hobbies were farming and ranching, snowmobiling, and hunting, He especially enjoyed spending time with his two granddaughters, who were very close to him in his last few days.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughter, Kari McClanahan; son, Cody McClanahan; two granddaughters, Kaylyn and Paige; brothers include Doug McClanahan of Ligonier, In; Richard (Susan) McClanahan of Millersburg, In; sister, Susan (Doug) Myers of Lagrange, In. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn and sister Elizabeth.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice and Pallative Care of Western Colorado.
Funeral services will take place at 11 am on Saturday December 11, 2010 at Grace Baptist Church. Viewing will be held at Crippin Funeral Home from 4 to 8 Friday Decemeber 10, 2010.
