MONTROSE — Eugene Phillip Lambert was born in Englewood, Colo. on Oct. 15, 1927. He died in Montrose, Colo. Jan. 23, 2011, succumbing to cancer at the age of 83. Gene was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Ralston Purina Company after 47 years. He is survived by his wife, Vivian; brother, Roy J. Jr.; sister, Francis Nawyn; five children; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Gene requested cremation. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Victory Baptist Church, 2890 N. Townsend Ave., Montrose.
