Cort M Kane age 57, died Monday, March 14, 2011 near his home in Montrose, Colorado. Born June 21st, 1953 in Washington D.C. Mother Lois Humphries Kane and father Wilbur Kane. Graduated college from Benjamin Franklin University in Silver Spring, Maryland with a B.S. in Business and Finance. Worked in Gaithersburg, Maryland as the Chief Financial Officer for Design Data Systems.
He enjoyed the outdoors, in particular, ice and mountain climbing as well as spending time with his family. He was also an active advocate for the preservation of wildlife and the environment.
He is survived by his wife, Shawna, his children, McKinley age 15, Glacier age 13, and India age 11. As well as his mother, Lois Kane, his sister Tina Labash, and his brothers Kerry and Sean Kane.
Service will be held at The Montrose United Methodist Church, 19 S. Park Ave., Montrose, CO 81401, on Saturday, March 19th at 1pm.
