MONTROSE — Timothy Dean Jaques, age 48, of Montrose, Colo., passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Tim was born Aug. 31, 1962, to Mary and Derrell Jaques in Flagler, Colo. He spent the majority of his life living and working in the Arriba and Flagler area and settled in Montrose to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
Tim enjoyed living and working in Montrose and often said that moving to Montrose was the best decision of his life. He loved nature, camping, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved working for Gordon Composites and was looking forward to returning to work and his friends once he beat the cancer. Tim loved his family and held a special place in his heart for his parents.
Tim is survived by sons, Anthony, Timothy Jr. and Michael; grandchildren, Andrew, Skye and Areiel; parents, Mary and Derrell Jaques; brothers, Ron (Susan) and Terry (Carol); sister, Lori (John) and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Tim's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Nystrom officiating. Memorial contributions, in memory of Tim Jaques, may be made to the San Juan Healthcare Foundation, attn: Lark Jacobsen, 800 S. 3rd St., Montrose, CO 81401. At Tim’s request, cremation has taken place, and the service will conclude at the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home, 802 E.
