Darwin Patrick Flock

February 5, 1971 ~ April 10, 2012

 

Darwin Patrick Flock, age 41, of Montrose, Co., and Arnett, Ok. area, passed away Apr. 10, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center in Grand Junction, Co.  Darwin was born Feb. 5, 1971 to Darwin E. and Pat (Fite) Flock at Canadian, Tex.  He spent his childhood and graduated from high school in Arnett, Ok.  Darwin married his first wife, Shala, the mother of Jancee, Jordan and Dalton. He  then later married Marie (Breed) Flock, the mother of Jessica., on Aug. 18, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nev.  Darwin was a member of the Church of Christ in Arnett, and a member of the Sons of American Veterans.  He loved life, and lived each day to the fullest, spending summers in Colorado and the winters in Oklahoma/Texas  Darwin loved the outdoors, fishing, four-wheeling, and his motorcycle.  A great adventure was boating and tubing the river.  He was an avid Barbeque griller.  He was a step above the average griller and loved to entertain his family and friends.  Darwin loved to come home to the family farm where he was raised and get together with family and friends.  Darwin was very much loved by his family and will be greatly missed by them all.

Surviving family members include his beloved wife, Marie Taylor of Montrose, his loving parents, Pat and Darwin Flock of Shattuck, Ok; sons, Dalton Flock of Comanche, Tex., step-son Danny Taylor of Ft. Collins, Co., son-in-law Cody Schoppa of Harrold, Tx; daughter, Jancee Flock of Harrold, Tx., Jordan Flock of Comanche, Tx., Jessica Flock of Montrose, Co., step-daughter Jamie Taylor of Montrose, and step-daughter-in-law Sara Taylor of Ft. Collins, Co.; and one grandchild, Emily Schoppa of Harrold, Tx.  Darwin was preceded in death by a younger brother, Chaddus Allen.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Apr. 13, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel.  Graveside Services are scheduled for Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00 am at Higgins Cemetery in Higgins, Tx.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crippin Funeral Home, 802 E. Main Street, Montrose, Co. 81401.
