Rosa M. Fister

Rosa M. Fister, age 84, of Olathe, Colorado passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Delta County Memorial Hospital. Rosa was born October 15, 1926 to Samuel L. and Viola Marie (Williams) Mosher in Montrose, Colorado. She spent her childhood and received her education in Montrose, Norwood, Nucla, before moving to Olathe, where she made her home until her time of death. Rosa married William C. Fister on September 14, 1954 in Grand Junction, Colorado. He preceded Rosa in death on March 31, 1988 in Montrose.
Rosa enjoyed embroidery and working with her hands. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Surviving family members include her children, Glen (Joanie) Fister of N.M., Glenda Smith and (Kevin Jones) of Delta, Colo., James Fister of Olathe, Colo., Rocky (Marlene) Fister of Olathe, Lida (Scott) Tomei of Howard, Colo, Cindy (Bruce) Valdez of Olathe, and John (Doris) Fister of Colo; brothers & sisters, Vivian Randolph of Dove Creek, Colo., Verna Morland of Idaho, and Joann (Walt) Gill of Dove Creek, Colo., Johnny and Morris Lee Mosher, and sister-in-law, Betty Mosher, of Thompson Falls, Montana; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Viola Mosher, one daughter, Doris June, two sisters, Doris Mosher and Susie Frye; two brothers, Wayne and William Mosher, and one grandson, Christopher Fister.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, Sept. 9, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Olathe Cemetery in Olathe. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
