Sarah Anne Engel of Norwood, Co passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital & Medical Center in Grand Junction, Co at the age of 48.
Sarah was born on October 22, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri to Peter and Constance (Kennedy) Thorsteinson, Sr. Sarah spent most of her childhood in Duluth Minnesota, where she attended Duluth East High School. Sarah attended the University of Minnesota at Duluth. On August 5, 2000 Sarah married the love of her life, Robert Dean 'Bob' Engel in San Bernardo, Co. Robert and Sarah moved to Telluride, Co before making their home in Norwood, Co where Sarah was a bookkeeper.
Sarah had a passion for life, enjoying it with family and friends to the fullest. Sarah enjoyed the great Colorado outdoors with family, she loved to camp, fish, and play softball. But one of her greatest joys was helping others.
Sarah is survived by her beloved husband Robert 'Bob' of Norwood, Co, her mother Constance Miller of Winterhaven, Florida, her brother Pete Thorsteinson, Jr. of Minneapolis, Minn, and her sister Carin Trotter. Sarah is preceded in death by her father Peter Thorsteinson, Sr.
A Memorial Service in loving memory of Sarah will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Abundant Life Church in Norwood, Co. The service will conclude at the Church.
