Ezekial 'Ted' Dunn

MONTROSE — Ted passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ted was born in Marietta, Ga. to Harry W. Dunn and Vivian Rudd on Nov. 29, 1942. He spent his youth in Denver, Colo. with his parents and brothers, R. Dunn, Danny W. Dunn and his sister, Lynn L. Dunn. Ted married Thelma K. Sanger in Julesburg, Colo. on July 25, 1964. Ted and Thelma made their home in Denver until they moved to Montrose in 1980 with their two sons.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Thelma K. Dunn; his father, Harry W. Dunn; his brother, Richard R. Dunn; his sister, Lynn L. Dunn; his two sons, Ezekial Ted Dunn II (Melody) and Edwin Todd Dunn, both of Montrose; his four grandchildren, Ezekial Ted Dunn III (Katie), Roylyn M. Dunn, Easton W. Dunn and April J. Dunn; and one great-grandchild, Annaliese Grace Dunn. Ted was preceded in death by his brother, Danny W. Dunn, and his mother, Vivian Rudd Kelso.
Ted’s greatest blessings were enjoying many family gatherings, holidays, fishing, hunting, camping and watching his beloved Denver Broncos play. His grandchildren brought him many smiles and even more laughter. His eyes never twinkled as much as when his grandson, E. Ted Dunn III and Katie Dunn, gave him his first great- grandchild, Annaliese Grace Dunn, who was his pride and joy. Ted’s family and friends loved him for his giving nature and his intelligent wit. He will be forever loved and missed, but never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ted’s name to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, P.O.
