Jane Louise Downey

Jane Louise Downey, age 65, formerly of Montrose, Co., passed away Mar. 8, 2012 in Windsor, Co. Jane was born Nov. 2, 1946 to George Gordon and Jean Louise (Prickett) Phillips in Montrose, Co. She spent her childhood and graduated high school in Montrose. Jane went on to College at Colorado State College in Greeley, and made her home there for 20 years. Jane spent her time as a flight attendant and traveled a lot. She had previously been marred to Don Downey. Jane enjoyed the outdoors, snow skiing, and water skiing. She also spent time crafting and knitting. Her love for her cats and dog were special. Jane loved to shop and travel.
Surviving family members include her two children, Chad Ryan Downey and Jill Louise Downey, both of Greeley, Co; a sister, Judy K. Krill of Thornton, Co. Jane was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service in celebration of Jane’s life will be held on Friday, Mar. 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Nystrom officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at Grand View Cemetery, west of Montrose, Co. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
