MONTROSE — Charley Deltonto Jr., 84, lifetime resident of Montrose passed away
Dec. 13, 2010 at his home.
Charley was born Feb. 9, 1926 to Pete and Susie (Devincentis) Deltonto in Montrose.
He married Angelina DeJulio on Dec. 3, 1949 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 30,
1990 at home in Montrose.
Charley was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was also part of a worldwide bible
education work for 59 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, farming, gardening and fishing.
Surviving family members include his son, Gary (Denise) Deltonto and daughter, Carol
(Deltonto) Nuttall, all of Montrose; his brothers and sisters, Jimmy (Virginia) Deltonto
of Colorado Springs, Colo., Virginia Hadley of Montrose, Florence (Ernie) Veo of
Montrose, Lena Whitworth of Montrose, Joseph Deltonto of Montrose, Alice Miller of
Lincoln, Calif., Johnny (Gerrie) Deltonto of Alamosa, Colo., Ann (Ted) Mencia of
Montrose; five grandchildren, Jason (Misty) Deltonto of Montrose, Karen (Jeremy)
Kuban of Longmont, Colo., Sarah Nuttall of Longmont, Colo., and one great-
grandchild, Aidan Nuttall; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Charley was preceded in
death by his parents, his wife, Angie, one brother, Bobby Deltonto, three sisters, Mabel
DeVincentis, Betty Lou Deltonto and Pauline Gearinger.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011 at Jehovah’s
Witnesses’s Kingdom Hall, 16672 Woodgate Rd., in Montrose with Bill Martin
officiating. The service will conclude at the Hall. Arrangements are under the direction
of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose.
