Larry Ray Davis

Larry Ray Davis, age 71, of Montrose, and formerly of Olathe, passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 14, 2011, at San Juan Living Center in Montrose, where he has resided the last two years. Larry was born in Ft. Collins, Colo. and was adopted at the age of 1 month by A.R. and Iris Josephine Davis. At the age of 3, his adopted father died, and Larry was placed in a State Home and Training School in Grand Junction. In 1970, he left the state home and moved to John Harold Group Home in Olathe. Larry was a member of the Community Options Program in Olathe and Montrose for over 30 years and enjoyed working for Silver Mountain Enterprises. He enjoyed visiting and being around people. He will be greatly missed by his friend, Pat.
A memorial service in celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose, with Pastor Paul Nystrom officiating. Cremation has preceded the service. The service will conclude at the Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home, 802 E. Main St., Montrose, CO 81401 (970) 249-2121.
