Lucille Belle Conder

Lucille Belle Conder, age 92, of Ridgway, Colorado passed away early Friday morning, Sept. 2,2011 at Montrose Memorial Hospital. Lucille was born Mar. 15, 1919 to John Victor and Goldie Grace (Bennett) Peterson in Pagosa Springs area, in Colorado. She spent her childhood in Pagosa Springs and graduated from high school at Farmington, N.M. Lucille married Leo Myron Conder on September 14, 1941 in Tierra Amarillo, N.M. He preceded her in death in May 1975 in Palisade, Colorado.
Leo and Lucille had also resided in Cortez, Colorado before moving to Ridgway, where they made their home until Lucille’s time of death. Lucille was a member and Treasurer of the Columbine Club in Ridgway up until her time of death and the town Treasurer, of Ridgway for many, many years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, and getting together with her many friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all of them.
Surviving family members include her children, Myron John (Patty) Conder of El Jebel, Colorado, Robert Aubrey (Judy) Conder of Norwood, Colorado, Vicki Kay (Hoyt) Mutz of Santa Fe, N.M; brothers, Paul Peterson of Bloomfield, N.M., Jack (Mary) Peterson of Wickenberg, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Doni (Darren) Jimenez, Rhonda (Wes) Osborne, Brett (Michelle) Conder, Amy (Shawn) Conder-Wilson, Heather Conder, Scott (Kristie) Mutz, and Mark (Diana) Mutz. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother. Charitable donations may be made to Ridgway, E.M.T.’s, in memory of Lucille Conder, P.O. Bin C., Ouray, Co 81427. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service on Tuesday, from 8:30 to 9:45am. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:00 am at Ridgway Community Church with Pastor Clint Perry and Pastor Ken Slape officiating. Burial will follow the service at Dallas Park Cemetery in Ridgway. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Colorado.
