Shaun Peter Cassidy
December 24, 1987 ~ October 9, 2011
Shaun Cassidy beloved grandson of Peter and Arlene Cassidy passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 9, 2011. Shaun was taken from his family far too soon at the age of 23. Born to Charlene Cassidy on Dec. 24, 1987, Shaun was raised by his grandparents in their home and became the fine young man he was due to the love and guidance of his very large extended family. His older brother, Michael Cassidy always looked out for him and was his best friend. He has also left behind two sisters, Ariel and Ashley Brand and a young brother, Alexander Wilson. His Uncles, David Countryman and Peter Cassidy were the father figures who provided the guidance that led Shaun to be the upstanding young man he became. His Aunts, Maureen Larson, Colleen Countryman, Tara Cassidy and Noreen Nooner helped mold Shaun into the compassionate, loving and caring man we all knew him to be. He was the light of his grandparents life who handled the dual role of parent and grandparent amazingly. Shaun enjoyed helping his grandparents on the family farm. He also enjoyed camping, volleyball, fishing, video games, drums, listening to music and hiking. Most of all he enjoyed the large family gatherings and being a caring uncle to Ainsley and Aubrie Cassidy. He was blessed with a large family and was extremely close to his many cousins, Jessica and Travis Larson, Dezeray DeJulio, Dalyce and P.J. Cassidy, Davie, Alicia and Amanda Countryman, Austin and Logan Nooner. Shaun was preceded in death by his beloved great grandparents, Maureen Cassidy and Mary Abramshe. He was their Shauny Boy and through his infectious smile he had them wrapped around his little finger. Shaun has lived in Montrose his entire life and worked Construction with C & M Mobile Setup. Shaun will be greatly missed by his entire family and friends. He was the most compassionate and caring person with a hugh heart that will leave a void that can never be filled. A Memorial Service in celebration of Shaun Cassidy’s life was held on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at Waves of Mercy Church in Montrose. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
