Paul F. Callan
MONTROSE — Paul F. Callan, age 83, of Montrose, passed away Dec. 9, 2010, at his home in Montrose. Paul was born to James and Nora (Springette) Callan in Brookline, Mass. He served his country in the United States Navy and married his wife, Vivian, in 1979 in southern California. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2001. Paul was previously married to Lylah L. Mack. Paul had retired from I.T. &T. Aerospace and relocated to Montrose. He was a member of the Montrose Elk’s Lodge and the Moose Lodge in California. Paul was a civilian member of the National Police & Trooper Association. He enjoyed golfing, reading and traveling. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Surviving family members include one son, Danny P. (Carol) Callan of Mission Hills, Calif.; daughter, Patricia A. (Larry) Anders of Montrose, Colo.; two sisters, Catherine Burns and Rita Gianetti; along with one grandchild, Megan Hubbard. Paul was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers, sisters and son, Timmy.
A memorial service in celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. The service will conclude at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, P.O. Box 1804, Montrose, CO 81402.
