Donna J. Beams

Donna J. Beams, age 78, of Montrose, passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 9, 2011 at the Montrose Memorial Hospital. Donna was born Aug. 24, 1933 to Romeo and Marceline (Elvins) Buzzello in Omaha, Neb. Donna was raised catholic and graduated from a Catholic high school in Los Angeles, Calif. Donna raised her family in Azusa, California area. She worked for General Telephone Company as a Facility Maintainer in LaPuente, Calif. Her husband preceded her in death. Donna married a co-worker years later, Carroll S. Beams on Aug. 6, 1983 in Pasadena, Calif., Los Angeles. Following their marriage they resided in San Dimas until their retirement. In Nov. 1997, Carroll and Donna relocated to Montrose, where they made their home until Donna’s time of death.
Donna enjoyed her family and her faith and God was very important to her. Surviving family members include her husband, Carroll of the family home in Montrose; her mother, Marceline ‘Marcy’ Milota, of the Homestead at Montrose; children, Steven McLeod of Florida, Cynthia ‘Cyndi’ (Scott) Kessler of Calif., David (Barbara) McLeod of Calif., Randall (Jacque) McLeod of Ind., Janet (Darrell) Smith of Utah., Terry Wayne (Teresa) Beams of Calif.,Paul Edward Beams of Georgia and Charles ‘Jeffrey’ Beams of Georgia; numerous grandchildren, and great-Grandchildren Donna was preceded in death by her father and her husband.
A memorial service in celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Montrose Christian Church with Pastor Steve Shaw officiating. The service will conclude at the Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, Montrose, Co.
