Perry Scott Adams

October 15, 1964 - June 12, 2012

 

Perry Scott Adams died at his residence near Montrose, Colorado on June 12, 2012, at the age of 47.  He was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Bonnie (Stagg) and Frank Benjamin Adams, Jr. on October 15, 1964.  Perry grew up in Montrose, graduating from Montrose High School. He attended Tech Trade School in Denver for one year and Wyo. Tech  Laramie for one year.

Perry owned and operated Mico Excavation in Montrose for several years, enjoying the best years of his life.

He married Kelly Cox and became the father of three girls. The marriage ended in divorce.

Perry's main interests included hunting, fishing, motorcycles, skiing, family cook-outs, rock and roll, farming and ranching. He attended Grace Community Church.

Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Mebane of Montrose; father, Ben (Jan) Adams, Denver; daughters, Taylor and Jodi Adams and Stephanie Bestland, all of Montrose; brother, Brad (Michelle) Adams of Moscow, Idaho; grandson, Keegan Bestland; two-step brothers, two-step sisters and two half-sisters; nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special cousin Richard Scott.

Perry was preceded in death by his step-father, Dr. David Mebane.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21 at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Calvin Schwarz officiating. Burial will follow at Grand View Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory.
